Terms of Service

Last updated: July 13, 2026. Please read these terms carefully before booking your island escape with us.

Table of Contents

01 Agreement to Terms

By accessing the Ile aux Cerfs Tours website and booking any of our tours, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Mauritius. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or book our services.

These terms apply to every booking made through our website, whether you book for yourself or on behalf of other guests. When booking for a group, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for every guest in your party.

02 Tour Bookings

All bookings are made directly through our official website. No account is required — you can book as a guest by providing the details we need to confirm your trip.

  • A booking is confirmed only once payment has been received and you have been issued a confirmation email containing your unique booking reference.

  • Your booking reference is required for any enquiry about your booking, so please keep it safe.

  • Bookings are subject to availability for your chosen date and time slot at the moment payment completes.

03 Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in Euro (EUR) and are charged per person, based on the number of adults, children and infants in your party, plus any extras you choose to add. The total shown at checkout is the final amount you pay — taxes and booking fees are included.

Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, ABSA Spark. Your card details are handled entirely by the payment gateway and never touch our servers. A booking is only confirmed once the payment gateway reports a successful payment.

04 Private vs Shared Tours

Most of our tours are offered in two formats:

  • Shared tours — you join other guests on the same departure. Departure times and the itinerary are fixed, and the price per guest is lower.

  • Private tours — the experience is reserved exclusively for your group, with a more personal level of service. Private tours are priced accordingly and may have their own minimum group requirements, shown on the tour page.

The format you selected is shown at checkout and on your booking confirmation.

05 Cancellation & Refund Policy

Bookings cannot be cancelled or refunded online. If you need to change or cancel a booking, please contact our team as early as possible and we will do our best to reschedule you to another available date free of charge.

Cancellations and refunds are initiated by our team only. Where we cancel a tour — for example due to unsafe weather, insufficient capacity or operational reasons — you will be offered a new date or a full refund of the amount paid. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and normally arrive within 7 to 14 business days, depending on your bank.

06 Passenger Categories

Our per-person pricing is based on three passenger categories, defined by the guest's age on the day of the tour:

  • Adults — guests aged 10 years and older.

  • Children — guests aged 3 to 9 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • Infants — guests aged 0 to 2 years. Infants travel free of charge but must be declared at booking so we can prepare the correct safety equipment and comply with our passenger manifest obligations.

07 Extras & Add-ons

Optional extras — such as meals, equipment or photography — can be added to your booking during checkout. Extras are priced separately from the tour itself and are shown as individual line items in your total.

Some extras are available in different variants (for example, different meal options). The variant you select is recorded on your booking and cannot be changed on the day of the tour, so please review your selection carefully before paying.

08 Tour Capacity & Availability

Every tour has a limited number of seats per day. Availability shown on the website is live: once a date or time slot is fully booked it is marked as sold out and can no longer be selected.

Certain dates may be unavailable due to maintenance, private charters or seasonal closures. Availability at the time of payment is final — if a slot sells out while you are completing checkout, we will tell you before any payment is taken.

09 Customer Responsibilities

To keep every tour safe and enjoyable, we ask that you:

  • Provide accurate guest details at booking, including the correct number of adults, children and infants.

  • Arrive at the departure point at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Late arrivals may forfeit the tour without refund.

  • Follow all safety instructions given by our skippers and crew at all times.

  • Behave respectfully towards crew, fellow guests and the marine environment. We may refuse boarding or end a tour early, without refund, where behaviour is dangerous or disruptive.

10 Weather & Force Majeure

Your safety comes first. If weather or sea conditions are judged unsafe by our skippers or the relevant authorities, we will reschedule your tour to another available date or issue a full refund. Cloud cover or light rain does not automatically qualify a tour for cancellation.

We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including cyclones, government restrictions, port closures or other force majeure events. In such cases we will always offer a reschedule or a full refund of the amount paid.

11 Liability Limitations

We operate our tours with licensed skippers, maintained vessels and the safety equipment required by Mauritian law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the amount paid for that booking.

Participation in water-based activities carries inherent risks. By booking, you confirm that every guest in your party accepts these risks and is fit to take part. We recommend that all guests hold appropriate travel insurance covering water-based activities.

12 Privacy

We collect and process personal information only as needed to manage your booking and operate our services. How we handle your data — including what we collect, why, and your rights — is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

13 Contact Information
